MSL 07/08 Results Dec29Another week of MSL . 6 more matches were played last night. A couple of surprising results materialized. The table toppers have changed positions. Lets review them.

Among last night’s surprising results – Selangor and Perlis suffered their first MSL loss of the season. Perlis went down to Terengganu at home, while Selangor was seriously humbled by Kedah at the Darulaman Stadium. Johor FC remained the only team who has yet to be defeated in the MSL . They came up with the full three points over Perak at home.

The humiliating thumping in Darulaman was Selangor’s first MSL defeat this season. Kedah came out full throttle at the word go. Khyril Muhaimeen putting his name on the score sheet as early as the 13th minute. Some four minutes later, Bernard Huggins added to the tally with his goal in the 17th minute to make it 2 – 0 for Kedah. Marlon made it 3 -1 after Frank Seator pulled one back for Selangor from the penalty spot. Just before the half, Selangor’s Ivan Thisulo reduced the deficit to 3 – 2.

After the breather, Kedah came back even stronger. They managed to put three more past the Selangor backline, without allowing Selangor to add to their tally. Their superb performance allowed them to climb up the MSL table into the top position. Three teams now share points at the top with 10 points each. Kedah, Terengganu, and Selangor are separated only by goal difference.

Sarawak, after losing all their matches, finally secured their first MSL three points. They secured their full points against the UPB MyTeam with a sound victory of 4 -1 at home. The win immediately put them out of the last position in the MSL table at the 11th spot.

Looks like I have been proven wrong. It’s not Perlis who topples Selangor from the top. It’s Kedah. Oh well… Go Selangor!!
