Start Your First RM5 A Day Project

RM5 A Day

Do you believe that you can make money online $5 a day? There are so many ways to make money on the Internet. To do every single one of them will require quite an effort, especially if you are just starting up your first online business. However, there are a few which are easy to do even for new marketers. One of the best way to make money on the Internet does not even require that you sell anything – that is, no one needs to buy anything. Amazing isn’t it?

Now, what if I were to show you how you can make at least an extra RM5.00 per day? Would you be interested?

Yes, RM5.00 may not seem like much. However, it is still better than not making anything at all. Think, what can you do with an extra RM5.00 a day? Besides, it’s AT LEAST RM5.00 a day. If you are interested, then read on.. Follow the steps and take action.

Your First Make Money Online $5 A Day Project

Let’s dive in right into the steps you need to do.

jomniaga-en-home-1260x590.jpg1. Head on over to the following website – http://kodeexii.net/jneng (Right Click on the link and Open In New Tab)

2. Register yourself as a member. Don’t worry, JomNiaga membership is FREE. Just click on the Large Yellow “Signup Free Now” button.

jomniaga-en-user-registration-814x768.jpg 3. Fill in your details into the “New User Regisration” (Pardon my intentional typo :D , just following the Header on the registration page) form.  Fill it up and click the “Create My Account” button.

Don’t forget to check that your payment details are correct. You do want to receive your payments right? You should also select your desired pay out amount.  I use Paypal and set my payout amount to RM200. Choose a setting which you would like to use. If you choose Bank Transfer, make sure that your account number is correct.

jomniaga-email-verification-570x442.jpg 4. Open up your email account to verify your registration. You need to do an email verification to confirm the account creation. Go into your email account (the one you registered with) and look for JomNiaga’s “Please Verify Your Email”.

Once you’ve got it opened, click on the verify email link within that email. This is an important step. You will not be able to login into your JomNiaga account if you have not verified your account. So do this now because you are going to login into JomNiaga in the following steps.

jomniaga-marketplace-815x413.jpg 5. Login into your JomNiaga account. Take a look around for a bit. Check out all the products they have which you can now promote as an affiliate to get commissions.

6. The JomNiaga Marketplace. Once you’ve completed your tour of the JomNiaga site, click on the “Marketplace” tab and then on the “JomNiaga – RM5 PPL Setiap Pendaftaran Baru” link.

jomniaga-en-affiliate-links-665x224png.jpg 7. Scroll all the way down to the bottom until you see links like http://refer.jomniaga.com/x/YOUR-JOMNIAGA-ID. You will have to substitute the “YOUR-JOMNIAGA-ID” portion with your own Jomniaga ID.

8. Copy the link and save it somewhere, you are going to use it in the next step.

9. You must now Shorten your affiliate link. Open up a new tab and head over to www.goo.gl (right click the link and open in a new tab).

jomniaga-googl-shorturl-600x268.jpg 10. Generate a Short URL. Still have the link you saved in step 7? Copy and paste the link into the “Paste your long URL here:” field provided. Make sure your JomNiaga id is correctly inserted in the link. If everything is fine with the link, then click on “Shorten URL”

11. Save your Short URL. Copy the Shortened URL generated and keep it somewhere easy to locate (save it in a text file on your desktop named as ShortLinks.txt). That is the magic link that will make you at least RM5.00 a day.

12. Test your shortened link. Open up a new browser or a new browser tab. Enter your shortened link into the URL field. Verify that it actually goes to the JomNiaga website.

You are now all set to start your first RM5.00 a day project. Assuming you have performed all the 12 steps mentioned above, you now have in your collection one link that has the potential to bring you at least RM5.00 a day. Of course it is not going to make you any money if it just sits on your desktop.

All you need to do now is to promote that link so that people can click on it.

Do you have a Blog? Do a similar blog entry like this and put up your link into your blog. Promote your blog entry on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, SMS, Youtube, etc.

Put up your link on your Social Media accounts. Create a compelling and interesting story that people would like. Add to it an intriguing image that people would want to share. Don’t forget to insert your link with a call to action for people to click.

Put up your link in your eMail signature. Every time you send an email, the recepient will see your link. Add some catchy text to it and they will click on the link.

Yes, every one wants to make it big on the Internet. We always see and hear about people making thousands on the net daily. You can make thousands, of course, but have got to start with at least $5 first. If you can’t even do this, it will be even more difficult to make the big numbers.

If you have any questions, or comments, feel free to jot them down in the following comments section. I’ll also be bringing you more info about JomNiaga in upcoming posts. Stay Tuned .. :D

A New Payment Solution Comes To Town – Maybank2U Pay

M2UPay - Online Payment Solution For Small Business

Maybank recently introduced to the online business world a new product called Maybank2U Pay. It is essentially an online payment solution for small business in Malaysia. It is supposed to make online payments less painful for online shoppers. At the moment, this facility is only open to a handful of online business types. Lets take a brief look at what Maybank2U Pay really offers.

What Does The Webpage Say?

According to the Maybank2U Pay (I’ll refer to it as M2UPay from now) webpage:

What is Maybank2u Pay?
It is a payment facility designed for small or home businesses conducting online transactions. This allows blog owners the opportunity to manage sales transactions systematically and professionally. Your customers can now “click2pay”, by clicking on the Maybank2u Pay icon on your online blog shop.

Why use Maybank2u Pay?
Running an online business isn’t just about making sales. It involves sourcing for new products, constantly updating your blog, taking great photos for visual guide and many more back-end tasks. Going through receipts and proof of purchase can be time consuming and confusing, if there are a lot of transactions going on at once.

Chances are, mistakes are inevitable and sometimes, it can affect your online business. With this new payment facility, you can enjoy all the benefits below:

  • Easy reconciliation of sales transactions as there is a differentiation between normal funds transfers & Maybank2u Pay
  • Email notification on every transaction
  • View your sales transaction history for the past 60 days via Maybank2u
  • Detailed sales transactions under Maybank2u Pay History:
    • transaction date & time
    • transaction details & status
    • buyer’s name & email
    • amount transferred

All the above sounds good. M2UPay is supposed to make online purchasing at blogshops less painful. Normally the steps to make an online purchase would be:

  1. Calculate total payment required for items + shipping
  2. Open a new browser tab/window for Maybank2U website and login
  3. Look for blogshop M2U account, copy paste into M2U
  4. Submit payment amount as calculated
  5. Copy transaction details
  6. Email/fax/sms transaction details to blogshop owner

With M2UPay, the blogshop payment process will be like:

  1. Calculate total payment required for items + shipping
  2. Click M2UPay button and login
  3. Submit payment amount as calculated

Sounds easier? Lets take a look at the buying process from my following screenshots.
m2upay-login.jpg Clicking on the M2UPay button will launch a new browser window where you will be asked to login into your Maybank2U account. Always remember that login into your Maybank2U account is a two step process. First you will be asked for your username. Then your password. Before you key in your password, make sure that the security image displayed is what you have selected. If it’s different, DO NOT KEY IN YOUR PASSWORD!

m2upay-payment.jpg Once you are logged in, you will then be presented with the payment screen. This is where you enter your payment details. Before you do so, it’s best if you verify that the blogshop is actually registered to use M2UPay. Click on the “Verify Blogshop” link and find the blogshop name in the resulting webpage.

The link will open up a new browser window/tab displaying the current registered M2UPay blogshops. You will need to manualy look for the name of the blogshop. No search button available at the moment. You could however use your browser’s search function – press F3.

It would be great if Maybank automatically perform this search over at their end and just display on the screen if the blogshop is registered or not – put a Big Red X Mark if the store is not registered. Otherwise, a search function would be nice. It’s fine right now, but how about when there are hundreds or thousands or millions of blogshops registered?

Don’t forget to also click on the “Disclaimer for payments”. It’s required. Although, I am not really sure what ticking that box means. Perhaps they need to reword that bit of statement. Another thing, why are we given the disclaimer as a pdf download? Why not just put it up on a webpage? Any legal reasons to do it this way?

Back to the process, again. After filling up the payment details and performing the above mentioned verification of site, you can now click on the “Continue” button.

m2upay-tac.jpg Next, as with any M2U transactions, a TAC confirmation is required. Complete this and the transaction is complete.

Looks to me like, this really makes it easier for buyers with a Maybank account to make online purchases from blogshops. Buyers with a Maybank account will definitely like this.

Personally..

Yes, I would recommend this to blogshop owners with a Maybank account. However, I imagine that every other bank in Malaysia will probably come out with their own version of this payment button too, if they think it’s worth their while to develop such interface. As a result, blogshop owners will end up having to put in multiple payment buttons into their pages. Lets hope that if they do come out with their version of M2UPay, they will all use a standard sized button image.

Over all, I would say that it’s a good move by Maybank to encourage blogshop owners and buyers to make online transactions for online purchases. However, I would prefer a solution that can be integrated into my shopping cart system. That’s just me, I guess. :D

Having said that, I am still applying for it to be used in one of my website. I am interested to see how it looks like from a merchant point of view. If my application goes through, I will then do another write up about it here.

I’m not seeing much coverage from blogs about M2UPay. I’m not sure how long the featured blogshops have been using it. I hope that some of them will be willing to provide us with some numbers. Are they seeing more sales coming from Maybank customers as compared to the time before M2UPay was installed?

These are a couple of the featured blogshops which have M2UPay installed:

  • Dynas Nursing Attire – http://dnabydynas.com
  • Street Fashion by Sazzy Falak – http://sfbysazzyfalak.com
  • Minibites – http://minibitesonline.blogspot.com

Is Maybank2U Pay Your Online Payment Solution For Small Business?

Have a look at how M2UPay is integrated into the purchasing flow. Do you think it will work for you? Are you already using it? If so, how easy was it to implement? What do you think about it?

If you have answers to the above few questions, please provide them in the comments section. Your comments and inputs are highly appreciated.

3 Things You Must Have In Your Mobile Marketing SMS Text Messages

Businesses want to increase profits. One surefire method of increasing profits is via SMS Marketing. Yes, I’m not kidding. Many businesses are seeing an increase in profits when they include Mobile Marketing as a strategy. The Mobile market is perhaps the best segment to do a product promotion as well as product and services introduction.

The first “S” in SMS means “Short”. This means that every SMS marketing message you send out is limited to the 160 max character length. As such, messages ought to be short, concise and straight to the point. Send a message in more than 2 messages and you will lose the attention of the customer.

Marketing Text MessagesWhat then should you put into your SMS Marketing messages? Here are a few things all of your text messages should include:

1. The Name of Your Business

Obviously, displaying the name of your business lets people know who you are as a company. People like to know who they are receiving text messages from, so be sure to give them that information every single time. This will put them at ease as they know exactly why they are receiving the message.

There are two ways to do this:

  • Put your company’s name as the sender. However, the drawback of this type is that customers are not given an option to reply with questions since there’s no phone number present.
  • Provide your business number as the sender. However, don’t forget to put the name of your business in the body of the message.

 2. Give Them the Option to Opt-Out

The good thing about SMS Text Message marketing is that people opt-in to your list, which means they WANT to receive your promotional offers and messages. However, there should be an easy way to opt-out of the list if someone wants to do so. Knowing that they have an easy option to opt-out makes a lot of people feel more at ease when it comes to opting-in to your list.

At the end of each text message, make sure there is an option available for members of your list to opt-out if they choose to do so. This is important and currently missing in many SMS Marketing messages I receive today. So, please, if you are running an SMS campaign,  provide the means for your subscribers to opt out and make sure they know the option is available to them clearly.

3. Incorporate a Call-to-Action

In your SMS, be sure to tell people what you want them to do. If you don’t tell them to do it, most won’t. For instance, if you want them to bring the coupon into your business to redeem it, tell them that in the text message so there’s no misunderstanding about how they can redeem it.

Ok, now you know the 3 must haves in your Mobile Marketing SMS Text Messages. Lets take a look at a few sample text messages shall we?

“Ikhwan Sports 20%OFF Everything On SALE 4 Days ONLY! Ends Dec 21st. Shop InStore or www.ikhwansports.com. Special gifts for first 20 daily. SMS STOP to optout.”

“Gajet Gajet Islamik Fans. Salam Maulidur Rasul! Reply SAW13 in next 30min & get 13% discount coupon. Go http://bit.ly/SAW13 2 win prizes! SMS STOP to optout.”

“Seminar Baitul Muslimah PICC 21 Jan 2013. Visit Muslimah Shop booth 21 opposite main entrance. Show SMS & get free scarf & other free gifts. SMS STOP to optout.”

Note: The above SMS are just samples. The company, events and links do not exists.

Do you have samples of SMS you received which made you take action? How about those that annoyed you? Share them with me and others would you?

Smartphones and Mobile Marketing In 2013

In 2013, the smartphone market will most likely see an increase in consumer purchase. More people will be using smartphones as their prices become more affordable for the masses.KodeeXII.Net Mobile Display

Yes, with the likes of Samsung, Nokia, HTC and many more producing lower cost smartphones, everyone can now be connected to the net at all time. Of course, cheaper and faster broadband helps too.

A research performed early last year discovered that about 63% of consumers are online on their mobile while watching the television. Now, here is a scenario that businesses must take into consideration in today’s world of broadband and smartphones:

  1. Consumer watches TV with smartphone in hand (or nearby).
  2. Consumer saw an interesting product/store/cafe/special offer in the tv show or heard a brand mentioned in the dialogue.
  3. Consumer grabs smartphone and search for the product/store/cafe/special offer
  4. Search Engine returns results

Here’s another common scenario:

  1. Consumer driving into a town, lets say Putrajaya
  2. Consumer feels like having ‘Nasi Ayam Penyet’ for lunch
  3. Consumer asks friends in Social Media for recommendations
  4. Consumer’s friends provide recommendations
  5. Consumer grabs smartphone, performs a local search for ‘Nasi Ayam Penyet’
  6. Search Engine returns results

In both scenario, when consumer gets the results, he or she will certainly pay a visit to the business’ website provided by the search engines and friends recommendations.

The question now is, will your website (if you are running a ‘Nasi Ayam Penyet’ business) appear in any of those recommendations and Search Engine Results? If you are, good for you.

Next question, then.. Is your website displaying content fit for the many mobile devices people are using? If you are, excellent! Sadly, many websites are still made solely for desktop displays. When viewed in a mobile, the contents become too small or require viewers to scroll left, right, top and bottom to read.

Have you taken a peek at how your website is displayed on a mobile?

To make your website ready for mobile display you will need to:

  1. Modify your website to use a Responsive Theme
  2. Create a Mobile Landing Page and Templates

So, for those of you who runs an online business website, if your site is not mobile friendly, do you have any plans to make it mobile friendly? If you do, you can get a sample Mobile Website by registering at:

365 Project – My Blogging Challenge For 2013

Happy 2013 to all. It’s another brand new year and today is day one. I figured since it’s day one, it’s best to start on my very own 365 Project.
365 Project Blogging

My first 365 Project. What’s my 365 Project? Well, for the past years, I have really not been consistent with my postings in here. So, This year, I intend to change that.

I intend to write at least one entry in here every single day. For starters, I am not going to add any complex rules to it. I’ll just start with the following:

  1. Any topic
  2. At least 300 words
  3. No scheduled posts – every post must be written and posted on the same day.

That’s it. These are the only rules I am going to impose on myself for this first 365 Project.

Ha ha ha. I guess, for many this would probably be a piece of cake. Not for me. I have to admit, it’s been terribly hard for me to churn out daily entries in here.  Nope, I am not going to give any reason for it.  What’s past is past. Time to start anew.

Among my objectives of starting this project is to improve my writing skills. I noticed that  for the past year or so, it’s becoming more difficult for me to write. It would take me a few hours to complete a 300 word article.  Some would take 4 hours! Yup.. that bad.

I don’t know, maybe I need to go look for a writing class, perhaps? Any recommendations?

Another objective is to study if my daily entries will have any impact on my online businesses. The areas of impact I will be looking at are:

  1. Search Engine Rankings
  2. Traffic
  3. Conversion rate

Let’s just monitor the above three first, shall we? Keep it simple. Will add more stuff as we go along. How am I going to monitor them? That’s going to be an entry on its own.

I think there is a saying that says that one needs to do something consistently for 40 days before it becomes a habit. If that saying is true, then the first forty days is crucial to the success of this project.

So, my first mini target is to just write about anything in here consistently for 40 days. Come February 10, I’ll make an evaluation if I should make any changes to the rules of this project.

What do you think about projects like this? Have you ever tried running your own 365 Project?  How did it go? Your thoughts?

Make Money Blogging Using JomNiaga’s WordPress Plugin

There are just so many ways to monetize your blog as an affiliate marketer. Among the famous affiliate programs are Clickbank, Paydotcom, Amazon and DigitalResults. They all have their scripts and plugins to make it easy for affiliates like you to integrate their offerings into your blog. Malaysian’s have our very own affiliate marketing marketplace. It’s called Jomniaga.

Jomniaga recently launched their very own WordPress plugin. This plugin allows JomNiaga’s affiliates to automatically promote jomniaga products on their blogs. All they need to do is download, install, activate and configure the WordPress plugin and it will perform its magic automatically.

Take a look at the following video on the plugin:

I’ve just installed the plugin into this blog. The following is how the configuration screen looks upon installation.

JomNiaga Plugin Settings

All you have to do is fill in your JomNiaga username, desired tracking code, select a category and click on “Display Related Sites” option. Do that and you are all set. All your posts will now have your affiliate links to products in JomNiaga. All you need to do is create your blog posts as usual and not worry about creating the links manually.

Following is one of my blog post before I installed and configured the plugin:
Before configuring JN WP Plugin

Now take a look at the same post section after I’ve configured JomNiaga’s plugin with my affiliate details:
After configuring JN WP Plugin

The plugin has automagically created a link with my affiliate id on the “eMail Marketing” text. I didn’t have to edit the article manually.

If you are worried about having too many automatic outbound links for SEO purpose, then be rest assured that the links are all tagged as nofollows.

No follow links

The “Related Sites” feature adds additional links to JomNiaga’s product websites relevant to the category you chose in the configuration.

JN plugin Related Sites

There seems to be a bug in the plugin at the moment. The bug is this:

JN Plugin Bug

It seems that the plugin is inserting anchor tags into my img tags. The plugin developers will have to add in a filter so that the plugin does not try to modify any important html tags or it will create havoc in the web document.

Following is the source code that’s created by the plugin which is causing the problem above:

JN Plugin Bug Source Text

I hope the above is enough to assist JomNiaga’s Dev Team to quickly run a fix for this bug.

All in all, I think this plugin is worth installing as it gives you an additional source of income for your blog.

Internet Speed Tests For 3 Different Providers

At the moment, I have 3 different Internet service providers at home. Don’t ask me why I have three providers la. Still a mystery to me. Hahaha.

Anyway, I thought maybe today I should check out how each of them perform with a speedtest. So, following are the results from each of the providers.

Internet Speed Test

If you are running an online business from home, you would probably want a decent upload speed. Of course, a fast download speed is crucial but if you do a lot of uploads, then you don’t want to spend most of your time waiting for your uploads to complete. Images, eBoooks and videos could take a while if your upload speed is like ISP 1 above. Trust me, I’ve tried.

Can you identify the providers from the above results?

WordPress

Now, perhaps many already know or may have heard what WordPress is. Anyway, for those who don’t know,

WordPress is web software you can use to create a beautiful website or blog. We like to say that WordPress is both free and priceless at the same time.

~from WordPress.org

Yes, you can use WordPress to build a corporate website, blog and many other types of websites if you want to. Most people, however, just use it for a blog. Just have a look at the following sites:

Kemaman Saloon

Kemaman Saloon

Akademi 69z
Petua Health

Petua Health

Whether you want to utilize WordPress as your corporate site or just a blog or even both, is totally up to you. The platform is provided for you to use as you wish.

My recommendation, use it as a blog and link back to your official corporate site (could also be on the same site). Add SEO juice to your corporate site.

SMS Blaster System

The third piece of the pack. A pretty powerful marketing tool every business should have. SMS is probably the best way to do your direct marketing. Send SMS in bulk directly to your customers and prospects. Inform them about that special promotion event you are having in the near future. Send coupon codes to your customers.

Nothing else beats SMS as a direct marketing method. A large part of the world population has at least one or two mobile phones. SMS are normally read instantly by the recipients.

With an SMS Blaster System, you can schedule your SMS promotional messages automatically throughout the month or year. Set it up once and forget (of course, you’ll need to do some monitoring. Can also be automated, though).

Take a close look at the SMS Blaster System Interface

SMS Blaster System Interface

SMS Blaster System Interface

This seemingly simple interface brings you a wealth of SMS Blaster features like

  • Contacts Management via Phonebook and Groups
  • Credit Monitoring
  • Message Scheduling
  • Message Monitoring

Personally, an SMS Blaster System comes in handy for those who are ever so forgetful about important dates like anniversaries and birthdays. Set it up so that the system sends that all important SMS every year on the dot. Set it and forget.

Workshops

Now, the two workshops – Opencart and WordPress provide you with in depth knowledge about the two systems in the package. In the workshops, you not only benefit from getting to know how to use the systems. You also benefit from gaining knowledge on how to optimize your sites for better positions in the search engines.

Using The Keyword Tool

Using The Keyword Tool

Yes, you gain Search Engine Optimization (SEO) knowledge and how to apply them in Opencart and WordPress. Among the knowledge you would gain:

  • How to determine keywords people use to search for your products.
  • What are the best set of keywords to use in your websites.
  • How do you use those keywords in your websites.
  • Where can you put those keywords in your websites.

A truly valuable knowledge to have if you want to become successful in your online business.

In the workshop, you will also learn how to utilize all three systems in a unified way so that you maximize your online marketing coverage.

Oh yes, workshop participants are allowed to join the workshop any number of time. Attend the workshop as many time as you want without incurring any extra charges.

If you are in the market for a complete online business package, then this Ads4Bucks Raya Merdeka 2011 Special Offer is certainly a must have. For a measly RM250, you get the entire package to start a successful journey on the Internet. It’s also a ONE TIME ONLY payment!
