Quality matters! These speakers have been tweaked to maintain overall efficiency and fidelity at significantly higher sound pressures than conventional speakers. Stiff and light cone materials, precision shaped wooden enclosure and raised crossover points of the midrange and tweeter assemblies, make these speakers very efficient at vibrating air – without added distortions. The result? You get seamless overall imaging and soundstage of the music that is nothing short of clear and natural – even at high decibels. ....read more

    Not bad for 50 bucks

At 50 bucks, these are a good set of speakers. They sound good if kept at a reasonable level.

They have a few drawbacks however. The RCA cords are way too short for optimal speaker placement,[Radio Shack].

The on-off switch is on the back of the subwoofer which is a pain to get to. You have to use the remote to change any settings unless the subwoofer is within handy reach. I know I’m being a bit picky, especially for the price paid, but overall satisfaction is what it’s about.

After reading all the rave reviews I couldn’t wait until these speakers were delivered. I bought them to replace the Altec Lansing speakers I had temporarily pirated from my PC to hook up to my new HDTV. What sold me was the remote capability so I could mute or adjust volume and bass/treble without walking to the speakers and doing it manually. The setup to the TV was easy using a RCA/earphone jack adaptor. The cables between speakers, as others have said, are too short. The initial sound was okay but the controls on the subwoofer are cumbersome. The remote doesn’t work well and I have been unable to increase the volume above a low/medium range using either the remote or manually. Luckily my PS3 Blu-Ray has a volume increase adjustment that I can use when watching DVD’s. I am concerned also about how well these are shielded as the short cables make it necessary to place close to my DVR expansion drive. The 10 year old Altecs with a subwoofer sounded as well, also, but I need these for my PC. I would just swap these and use the Eagles for the PC but am concerned again about the shielding and not having a remote for the TV. I will continue to try to get the volume adjustment and remote to work but if I can’t I will return these and look for something better.

    Fuzzy Looks

    1) Value for Money

    2) Good Mid Range and Bass

    3) Good Looks

    4) Light Weight.

    5) Can use only the 80% of the volume range for good Voice quality.

    6) SHORT length of Speaker Wires.

    7) The quality of Wire is poor. A connector would have been better than hard wiring.

    8) Poor Remote Range.

I just got these speakers today and couldn’t wait to try them out. My old speakers finally gave up the ghost a week ago and I was was in the market for something new. I was on a budget and these seemed to fit what I was looking for. The sound quality is pretty good and I love the subwoofer. it’s not huge, but it packs a punch. The speakers also fit my small desk nicely.

The cords connecting the speakers to the subwoofer are kinda short, but I wasn’t trying to spread them across my room anyway. All and all, I’m pretty satisfied with my purchase.
