Great Sound. Great Looks. Great Price.
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I bought this for a month now. It an amazing set of speakers. They are small but pack quite a sound. And you would expect terrible sound quality. In fact the quality is very nice. No crackles, no vibrations even at full power. The speakers are small. The surfaces is glossy but easily scratched. ITs amazing for personal use. Not suitable for anything special. But I use it for my own personal use in my room.
Good for the price
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Simple and somewhat satisfying!
PROS
Satellite speakers are crisp and clear with little distortion.
Subwoofer is adequate considering the size and 8 watts of total system power.
Two inputs – one for your computer and one for your mp3/ipod/CD/PSP/DSi/whatever you want player.
Volume control with Auxiliary in is tremendously handy. You will need this 3.5mm Stereo Male To Male Cable 3 ft. in order to connect to this jack as a separate cable is not supplied.
CONS
If you turn the subwoofer “volume” up above about 40%, you will get a fair amount of distortion depending upon music you are listening to.
8 watts total power is not very powerful and in order to get respectable bass, you need wattage. Still, this is alright for a small studio or apartment.
It would be nice is the second satellite speaker was not hardwired to the first so you add wire and separate them farther apart.
NOTES
I found that the volume knob on the subwoofer is really frequency adjustment knob that sweeps from about 40hz to 200hz. If you keep it on a lower setting, it significantly reduces any distortion that occurs when you turn the volume up.
For the price, it is on par with the pack.
Buy this before you regret of having to loose it
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I bought this product from amazon, and i paid $22 for the item including of shipping, and i have nothing less to say than the unit is awesome
The sound is just wow… and i have no regrets at all. the sound is so clear. i owned 2.1 speakers before but this is something different.
You can use it for a small party. and it wont let you down
not impressed
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I read lots of positive reviews on these speakers and thought the price was great, so I ordered myself a pair. The sound quality is awful. I have to crank the speaker and PC volume all the way up in order to get a decent level of volume and there is a definite buzzing sound, almost like there is a piece of paper vibrating within the speaker. I would definitely recommend spending your money elsewhere… as with this product, you get what you pay for.
Bang for Buck
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Decent speakers. Excellent bang for the buck. separate base control is helpful for fine tuning your listening environment. however there is one pitfall to these speakers…sound quality. Compared to a hifi system or more expensive name brand systems, these fall short. But this can easily be overseen with the attractive price. If your not too concerned with sound quality as much as economy, then these speakers will please.
