After initial operation, the camera failed. It took more than a week for Creative Labs to respond to my troubleshooting inquiry. Then their answer didn’t solve the problem. I, finally, after much research on my part, discovered that the USB port had to be initialized. This solved the problem and the camera works just fine now.

I had purchased a couple of Logitech webcams, but had trouble using them with Linux (Kubuntu Jaunty & Karmic). The creative labs unit worked right out of the box.
Overall a nice web cam for the buck!

I received this web camera and have been using it for months now and still going strong.
At first I did have an istallation problem on my sons MSI laptop.He wanted to test it out before I snatched it back. When I installed it everything was fine until the next reboot then it was just a black screen and the laptop would not start. To make a long story short the drivers were not compatable with my sons laptop.
I ended up just using it for mine and have had no issues at all. The image quality is nicer than the one installed on my laptop. Some of the annimations are really meant for teens I think.
One thing I really liked was you can mount it just about anywhere and it stays.
I would recommend this to anyone that does alot of web chatting and does not want to pay a fortune!

i love it! received it today! very good cam… its so tiny too! i thought it wasnt going to be so small.
