overall good product
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
i’ve bought many items from creative labs in the past. along with those and this recent product, i have never been unsatisfied with creative labs. great sound quality, good loud bass. was worth the 80 dollars.
All the bad reviews are right on – BEWARE!
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
This item as you will read below – started out fantastic – then the annoyance with cell phone buzz. Well I could put up with that just move the cell phone. Now the volume knob has a mind of it’s own! The volume does its own thing and is beyond annoying. You want to listen to it loud – it quiets, want to listen to it soft it goes loud. Here is the thing that should warn you off of these – I have only owned them for 6 months! I notified Creative customer (I don’t) care and I have to send them in on my dime and are then warned that if they find nothing wrong with them they will they will send them back (no fix)! Lesson learned – Creative doesn’t back up their products – so they lose another customer… Again BEWARE!
warning: don’t buy!

while these speaker sound good at first, they are horribly unreliable. my first set…the volume knob started screwing up and doing whatever it wanted without being touched. the manufacturer wouldn’t help me. amazon sent me a new set…and now the subwoofer has totally died. again, the manufacturer is ignoring me.
DO NOT BUY THESE OR ANYTHING FROM CREATIVE LABS. you will be sorry. i know i am. i’m out [...] bucks with a completely useless speaker system.
No Volume Control!
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
Same problem as a lot of people have reported. I’ve had the speakers for almost a year (near warranty expiration), and the volume control has gone haywire! The volume will suddenly increase or decrease, with no rhyme or reason, sometimes to the tune of earsplittingly loud! When the system works, it works well (great sound). However, spending $70 on something that apparently almost always turns out to have this problem is not worth it. In addition, the warranty system with the manufacturer is not great either. In order for them to determine what’s wrong (and to see if a new system should be shipped), they want me to pay to ship it to them (with insurance). I’m pretty sure that sending it back to be diagnosed will be as expensive as buying a new set! I wouldn’t bother with this system.
