The way I see it, it’s probably tough for our players to find stints in Japan, Korea or Australia. The top rank clubs over there are looking for players which are better than their locals. So, they would not be looking at our players seriously. Except for maybe one or two of them.

The majority of our players, on the other hand, could do well in top clubs in the ASEAN region. Why not just give it a shot. We have nothing to lose. The players will gain experience playing in another environment. Once a few of our players make it good outside, more of the players would want to do the same.

The idea here is to instill into our players the desire to play for clubs out of Malaysia. Do note that, I deem this just as a short term goal. The mid term goal is to have our players playing for clubs all over ASIA. Long term goal is for our players to play for world renowned clubs.

We must have short, mid and long term goals.

not much benefit to gain if they were to play in the south east asian pro league. a lower division in europe or weaker 1st division team in japan korea or australia should be a realistic target.
