I've been using aerobic work-out videos for quite a while now, and let me tell you - if you've the right setup and the right attitude, they work every bit as well as an actual aerobics class. Remember its no good telling yourself that you will do a 2 hour work-out with your aerobic videos each day, and then failing straight away. Set small goals, ones you know that you can succeed at, to build confidence.
Equally significant is to have a good space to do your aerobics work-out. If you live in a cramped, one room place with clothing all over the floor, forget it. You can use some aerobic videos with less space than you might think, but if you don't at least clear a little room to move around in, you will never reach any of your exercise goals, and that's a crying shame. The first step of your aerobic work-out is truly setting a time, clearing out a space, and psyching yourself up. Do not expect immediate success from using your cardio videos. It is going to be hard work. But if you persevere, within a month you will see major changes. Who knows this may be your call to a career in personal training.
